With a new season upon us here in New York and the wardrobe swap done, I've turned my attention to the shopping list and have been figuring out what's needed to complete my Summer wardrobe. This is by no means a big list but we all have gaps to fill for various reasons when it comes to a change in season...I had forgotten how hot it gets here! Throughout the review process I realised the abundance of timeless styles out there that will always play a part in our Summer wardrobes. So here are the classics that are worth investing in to see you through many a Summer ahead:

Denim

This might seem like an obvious one, denim is of course a staple no matter what the season! But when it comes to Summer not only are denim jeans and shirts on high rotation but style options extend to dresses, skirts, camis and even footwear. Select styles you love and that aren't too trend driven (I'm looking at you floral embroidered denim!) and you'll have an anchoring piece for so many outfit combinations.
