Founded by Gosia Piatek in 2007, Kowtow is pioneering the movement towards ethically and sustainably sourced fashion. From it's small beginnings in Wellington, New Zealand, you can now find Kowtow in over 150 retailers worldwide. Built on a foundation of respect for our planet and the belief that if we really knew how our clothing was produced no one would be willing to support a slave trade economy, Kowtow is proving clothing can be fashionable and ethical.
As a 100% cotton brand Kowtow only uses fair trade and organic cotton which has been approved by the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation (FLO). The brand also provides full transparency in their production process, dealing only with factories also approved by FLO. A short film 'from seed to garment' on the Kowtow website documents the entire production process and highlights the achievability of ethical and sustainable practices in garment manufacturing.
With minimalist aesthetics and a focus on understated colour palettes the designs are set to appeal to a wide range of consumers. While the brands 'Building Block' collection focuses on basics and staple pieces we all need in our wardrobes, those outfit essentials, the entire range provides foundation pieces that will last in your wardrobe for many seasons to come. Pricing sits around the mid market range with tees starting at $79 and more substantial pieces like cardigans and coats around $399.
Discover beautifully crafted organic cotton pieces that will compliment your current wardrobe and be with you for years at Kowtow.
