Brand Spotlight: Cuyana

A luxury lifestyle brand created with the belief that fashion can be different, Cuyana means "to love" in Quechua and its name is inspired by the desire for customers to love what they buy, love how it's made and love when they wear it. Co-founders, Karla Gallardo and Shilpa Shah, wanted to make fashion more fulfilling and soulful, and so have created a brand that promotes intentional buying, offers quality at affordable prices, and supports local craftsmanship.

A large portion of the range is made locally in the United States with remaining manufacturing outsourced to artisans that specialise in the relative technique in countries such as Peru, Italy and Argentina. But it's their ethos of "fewer, better things" that sets this brand apart and promotes a more positive life for all involved. Cuyana's designs focus on everlasting style rather than trends, in line with their 'less is more' and 'quality not quantity' approach to building our wardrobes and eliminating clutter from our lives.

The line consists of clothing and accessories including handbags, wallets, scarves and hats, all constructed from the finest materials and ranging in price from $40 for basic tees to $200 plus for dresses, knitwear and handbags. So confident in the quality of their products Cuyana offers a 2 year warranty period for issues resulting in manufacturing defects, and repairs are carried out free of charge if proof of purchase is provided. They also provide a lean shipping option at check out which includes a reusable bag and paid return shipping, allowing you to donate your used clothing with ease. All donations go to partner charity H.E.A.R.T who help women in need and you receive $10 credit towards your next purchase.
